The Spring Transition
1 Look, 2 Budgets
Start shedding layers: Warmer temps and brighter days are heading our way.
Flannel-lined, Coated Canvas Moto Jacket
A lightweight jacket that still keeps the end-cap chills at bay thanks to a soft flannel lining. The outside is treated to offer water resistance in surprise spring showers. This classic moto-style jacket was made famous by British brand Belstaff founded in 1924. What Schott is to American-made leather motorcycle jackets, Belstaff is to British waxed canvas jackets.

The Cream Color Cashmere Crew
Known as the C4 in the world's most exclusive fashion circles. Just kidding, I made that up. But a neutral colored crewneck sweater in cashmere is not only incredibly soft, like, softer than a sweatshirt, it's super easy to dress up or down. Don't believe me? I've been featuring mine for years. See how else to wear it:

Gray Stretch 5 Pocket Travel Pants
Travel pants are great – they're the same cut and fit as jeans but made with softer, stretchier material. If you've been to Primer before today you know we're big gray pants evangelists. More dressed up than indigo, less contrasty than black, shades of gray pair well with black or brown accessories.

Buttoned Down, $52
Amazon's house line Buttoned Down usually puts out dressier items but these 5 pocket twill pants are made with 98% premium Supima cotton with 2% elastane for all day comfort.

Suede Boots
Suede can add dimension to a casual outfit that doesn't benefit from layers or dressier flourishes like ties, pocket squares, or lapel pins by introducing texture.

Thursday Boots, $199
These are probably my most worn boots, they're actually a dark, subtle olive shade that plays like brown. Because of that, it's easy to incorporate into most outfits. See how else to wear them:
