Love the look this week! Question about crew neck sweaters. How do they compare against a V neck? Less formal?

      Hey Ryan,
Yep, definitely more casual. It’s got a “threw this on because I got cold” feel to it.

I think I would dislike that shirt by itself (it’s just not me), however I would rock this outfit without hesitation – I can really visualize this shirt looking great poking out from under that sweater. Left to my own devices, I would never think to go for a shirt like that, so I really appreciate posts like this; I really need to get better at putting together combinations that I wouldn’t normally think of. Well done.

Andrew, this “Getup” series is amazing. I absolutely love how you have all the pieces linked, and some things are great steals while others are quality investments. I think it’s much better than the blogs that are all about budget items, or all about luxury items. The blend means no matter what, there’s something to take away from the lineup, and I love the themes. It paints a picture for the perfect setting for the outfit.

Thanks for putting this all together man! 🙂

The Suave hair product is actually really nice. I normally use American Crew, but I ran out once while I was traveling. I picked up the Suave because it was so cheap that I could throw it away if I didn’t like it, but I ended up using it every day for almost a year.

What American Crew product did you use? I use Fiber but am looking for something a little more pliable. Suave fit the bill?

I use Defining Paste now. I’ve used Fiber in the past, but I agree, it’s way too stiff. The Suave falls in between Fiber and Defining Paste.

Red ken rewind 06 is nice and so is bumble and bumble sumo tech. They last forever as well

Give Lay-Rite a try, stuff is way better than Fiber and washes out better.

I used to use american crew pomade but I found the knockoff version called trendsetter and been using that since. I also use american crew shampoo and conditioner.

I so very badly want to try the 513’s! Unfortunately I require a 36” inseam and Levi’s does not produce them with this. I’m 6’5”, 170 lbs. and wear the 511’s right now but want something a little looser at times and the 514’s are too baggy for how thin I am.

Anyone know something comparable to the 513’s?

WHAT?! Levis 48$? Here in Italy Levis are ridicously expensive, like 170 euros. Oh well, i’m sure i’ll find a cheap alternative. BTW, another great getup. Thank you!

Love those high Clark boots. I have the jink and the traditional desert boot time to add another!

I’m gushing over the wallet and the watch. For me, details definitely make the outfit. I already have a pair of boots similar to the one pictured, but not the color. I’ll definitely be grabbing those for the fall.

Great look. Now if it would just get cold enough here in Florida to wear that. Nice call on the every man jack. Ive never used their shampoo but I do like their body wash. I might have to try it. I’ve been using American crew for a while now.

Anyone have the boots or has seen them in person? The color above looks great but take a look at them on Amazon…much darker.

I have the regular DB in taupe suede and they’re lighter than the Amazon link, closer to AE, but maybe a little browner.
