Rain Ready: Options for the Wet Weather Months

Rain Ready: Options for the Wet Weather Months
Spring in most parts of the country means wet weather season. The snow may be gone, but the clouds will split with thunderstorms. Be ready with proper wet weather gear.

I think that maybe the “Inuit” (Eskimos) invented the Anorak, not the “Intuit” (software company). Otherwise, good work.

I can’t stand rain and I am always hated umbrellas. You convinced me out that problem. The question I have is, Have you ever looked at a outdoor store, like REI? They offer brands, like Marmot, that are made to take adverse weather conditions.

I always carry a tuck-away hiker’s raincoat in my vehicle and my work bag. I also have an umbrella for meeting days or date nights. Properly equipped, you can walk with confidence knowing it’s only water. A man does not run in the rain unless pursuing evil or escaping danger…or unless he’s preparing to jump in a puddle 😉

What a horrific preview system the JCP website has. Here’s the full size picture in case anyone is interested: http://zoom.jcpenney.com/is/image/DP0204201317023071M.tif

Looks pretty nice. Slim, but it could just be pinched in the back with binder clips. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!

Can’t agree more. Like that jacket. JCP just sent out a $10 off purchases of $25 or more today as well. Wish they had medium in stock.

Just bought the JCP Anorak, and I cannot wait for it to start to rain. It is awesome in person. I lucked out because when the associate scanned it with her palm pilot, it came up $30 (maybe because there were only 3 left), plus the $10 off $25 purchase, and snagged it for $20. Bargain on such a great jacket.

Can anyone speak to sizing on the Anorak? No mediums left which is what I typically wear, but I have several small jackets as well. Happy Good Friday.

I recommend WindJammer’s J-handle umbrella. It looks classic but it can stand up to Boston winds. I’m not a huge fan of the umbrellas listed. Umbrellas are like Model T’s: any color, as long as it’s black. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009GGIFG/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1
