You know what's never made sense to me? The retail schedule that clothing brands use seems…early by about 6 weeks. Try to go into a store in August to buy a swim suit – you know smack dab in the middle of the season where you need a swim suit – and they're only selling flannel shirts and v-neck sweaters.
Fortunately, though, that also means you can score same-season clothing on deep discount if you time their clearance sales properly. Much of the country is just starting to hit its winter stride, but you wouldn't know it based on retailers because wool coats, sweaters, and shirt jackets are being sold off for some of their lowest prices right now during winter clearance sales.
