Spy School: Celebrating 50 Years of Bond for the Whole Month of November

Lessons learned living as a Double 0.

By now, everyone is aware of the event that will occur on November 9th. Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film, hits U.S. movie theaters. Skyfall marks the 50th anniversary of the ass-kicking MI6 operative we all want to be.

For the month of November, consider Primer the unofficial home of everything Bond. For the next month, Primer will offer a series of articles designed to help you be more like James Bond and less like Seth Rogen.

Now don’t get the wrong idea. The Month of Bond's purpose isn’t to turn you into James Bond. This isn’t some nerdy fanboy piece where we tell you exactly which Omega watch to buy or which pair of shoes Daniel Craig wore in the opening chase scene in Casino Royale. Primer doesn't want to turn you into someone else. Instead, think of optimizing the best version of yourself.

What does James Bond symbolize? Sure, he’s a sex symbol and a man of danger. But he’s also well-spoken, well-traveled, well-mannered, and well-educated. Put another way—remember that scene when James Bond burped at the dinner table? You don’t, because it never happened.

If you haven’t already, subscribe to Primer and commit to being a better man. James Bond style.
