This outfit looks great… I’ve been trying to find me a good weekender bag. This one above is cool, but I’m looking for something cheaper. Any recommendations?
How about the Beckel Canvas duffel in green? http://www.primermagazine.com/2011/spend/duffel-bag
I just put in my order. I’ll let you know how everything turns out… Thanks for the advice.
Everlane bag looks sweet!
lotta random brands today. looks great though!
I see you keep great tabs on the new releases from Everlane, awesome
Love to hear a review of some of their products from the trustworthy Primer crew. Keep up the great work!
Anyone have long term success with the Zig Zag shoes? At under $30 for a pair of weekend-knock-arounds they are tempting. Good color of shorts as well, versatile.
I’d like to check them out. Here are some reviews on Urban Outfitters http://reviews.urbanoutfitters.com/5309/17025800/zigzag-low-top-shoe-reviews/reviews.htm
I have a pair of the Zig Zags and they are horrible, they are poorly made and the toe box is oddly shaped.
Those shoes don’t look like “no sock” shoes. What kinds of socks would go with this?
I’d go with no-show athletic socks, white or gray. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fruit-of-the-Loom-Men-s-No-Show-Socks-6-Pack/20700353
Saw the shoes on Ebay for 15 bucks, 25 with shipping. Very tempting, anyone have any luck with shoes on ebay?
So, to tuck or untuck this shirt? What if it was longer? Or is tucking with shorts just wrong full-stop?
I would go untucked. Tucking with shorts isn’t explicitly forbidden but you’ll have to play it by ear depending on the shirts, shorts, and where you’re going.
Andrew, are you seeing any kind of trend of short sleeve button downs replacing polos on wide scale? Just curious about your opinion…or anyone else’s for that matter.
I remember about 10 years ago, right after I moved back to LA from the midwest short sleeve button downs being the thing rather than polos. I think it’s something that gets hot for a summer or two every 7-10 years. Luckily I still have a couple of the shirts from 03 lying around and they still fit…if a bit more snugly.
I feel like a salesman when I wear short sleeve button downs
Andrew, can you post some more business casual spring/summer outfits? Besides polos, what options are there?
