Spend The Getup: Spring Day Trip 8 April,2012 By Andrew Snavely Take your lady and run. Find a spot in driving’s distance and make a vacation of it, even if it’s just for a day. Andrew Snavely Andrew is the founder and editor of Primer. He's a graduate of American University and currently lives in Los Angeles. Read more about Primer on our About page. Spring StyleStyleThe Getup omar awesome! I love these! how about a getup for graduate students? No graduate student wears a suit to TA, but sometimes we get too lazy by wearing jeans and tshirts. (grad students tend to be from 25 to early thirties). Jake Oooh, very nice. I like it all. http://www.liftluxe.com Andrew Wish more Americans knew about Superga (known as “The People’s Shoe of Italy”). Very comfortable sneakers without looking they were pulled from Seinfeld’s wardrobe. Omar I can’t find the grey sneakers in the pic through your link http://www.primermagazine.com Andrew Omar, Second row in the middle. http://the-approach.org Christopher The beauty of this outfit is the simplicity, at least for me. This is such an easy outfit to pull off and everyone should have pretty much everything in this Getup article. Maybe not the blue chinos. I do, but I love the hell out of anything with color. Keep these coming. Jake so heres the question andrew… how much of this suggested stuff do you own? or do you go on the websites to put things together…because that’s alot of closet space…. and what do you think of layering henleys over button downs? http://www.primermagazine.com Andrew Jake, I try to include things I own or things similar to what I own. Of course, I don’t own everything I’d like to. 😉 My goal with the Getup is to use the items as inspiration for something you may already have. You may not have light blue chinos but you may have something similar, or may be inspired to swap them out for something you do have. I’m not suggesting folks buy everything in every Getup. Jake of course not…i’d be dead broke if i tried to buy everything i saw that i wanted…having trouble getting those random non essentials which pull things together….belts that match, ties, different suits…etc… the key is like everyone says, have those few essentials which can be used in many different ways Nick “My goal with the fetus” What an unfortunate autocorrect. http://www.primermagazine.com Andrew Haha! Yeah it was. Thanks for the heads up. Greg Too quick to order the Dockers without looking at the comments. I ordered my usually size and the pants are so damn tight that I can’t wear them at all. Going to have to sell them on Ebay because I ripped off the tags. Michael I like the sneakers, thinking of picking up a pair Isa Great getup. My hubby’s been asking for input on growing up his outdated, t-shirt&jeans wardrobe. Now I’ve got a visual reference to send his way – Thanks, Andrew! Keep it up. Jose S. Love the fact that on primer I find things that I could see myself wearing today. I see this was posted a few years ago. Specifically your posts Andrew. I always look for your posts before going shopping. You have helped a lot Sir.
