I just searched for "i-phone" and "end of the world". Glad I'm not the only one whos mind is leading them in this direction. I couldn't find a date for when this article was written, but I'm 26 right now. I don't appreciate the fact that apple crams things down our throats and tells people what they need. Every few months they come out with something "new" that you need to buy and if you don't all your friends will have it and you'll feel like crap. I personally don't care about peer pressure but not everyone is that way. The worst thing about this is the effect it has on the generation that's just coming into the world now. The bottom line (if I get this right) is that we don't have to constantly be entertained! Like they say "stop and smell the roses" once in a while.

Good read. Couple comments, they probably do have an app to buy gf/bf's. I'm thinking mail order bride app. Porbably exists, just need to get it on Cydia. The non-Apple approved app store. And there are apps that help humanitarian relief ect. The only one I can think of isn't a good example for numerous reasons, but the new Farmville app. Zynga, while I kinda hate them, did bring in a decent amount of money for Haiti when the earthquake struck. While we would hope that people wouldn't need to be enticed to give to the desperately needy, lets not be niave, it just works better that way.

Ahhh the good old blackberry debate.

Of course it comes down to the user. I was out and about the other day, and needed to find a store i hadn't visited before. 20 seconds later, BANG! the iPhone had helped me find it. I'm sure th blackberry does the same thing. It's true, there is a lot of 'hype' over the iPhone, but it's very handy to have around.
