I think it should be the 50′s again where then men work and the women stays home and takes care of the house and kids. The husband should come home after a long day of work and relax and have a nice meal on the table. I am what most women hate now a days but I’m sorry I want to raise my own kid plus there was less crime and hate back then. Life was simple and good. I tell everyone I am in house wife training my boyfriend lets me take care of him and trust me we both love it!

I love this post!
I’ve been doing some searching about the 1950′s wife, as I would personally like to give it a go as a little experiment.
I appriciate your insight and “goods man guide”
I think mayhaps I could give that to my husband as a guide while I do my best at my lady duties!
I ESPECIALLY appriciate the “dont question her judgement” so true, I just wanna bitch, not have to be psycho analyzed!

I think the man who’s attacked the goods wife guide fails to appreciate that women are attracted to ‘men’, he doesn’t fall into this category for me sorry!

Nothing wrong with having an hour after work to unwind – as long as she, too, gets an hour to relax and isn’t supposed to have dinner at the ready when you’re done with your hour. Something I’ve learned from being a stay at home mom is, as much as my husband works during the day, he at least gets to leave work behind and come home. Me? I never do. I LIVE in my work. So keep that in mind when you’re relaxing after a long day of work.

PS “At least” an hour? So, remind me again who’s getting dinner on the table/the house cleaned up/the kids ready for dinner or bed? Yeh. That’s what I thought.
