I think seafood or beef are great ideas for someone trying to pull off an easy meal. Both proteins allow you the comfort of knowing that you can under cook them without getting your date sick (unlike chicken or pork).

My advice? Find out her allergies first. Buy some fresh seafood and cook with her. I find it more intimate to be cooking with her there instead of cooking the meal ahead of time. Then who cares if the kitchen's dirty? You can clean it up tomorrow.

I don't know about the steak idea. I mean, steak is freaking delicious, but there are so many women, especially young women, who don't eat beef. Wouldn't it suck to go through the chore of preparing something that looks so delicious, only to hear her say she doesn't eat beef/meat? I find chicken is a much safer bet. Besides that, seafood of total vegtetarian should be on the menu.

Of coarse, I say this only to people who don't know what the lady eats.
