Justin, I am pleased to see you advocate exercising the mind, but I'm surprised that you advocate doing so by watching a lot of television.

Firstly, many avid television watchers lack knowledge of important things but know very much of trivial things. What is the purpose of knowledge of trivial things if we lack knowledge of the things that are most important in life?

Secondly, while shows such as "Survivorman" can stimulate the mind, watching television is essentially a passive activity; how can passivity be the best exercise of the brain?
